Thank You, 2018!

Someone rightly quipped. Life undoubtedly is the biggest teacher. To say that this year has been a bed of roses is a gross falsity.

This was a year that came in a wave. With sky-reaching highs and also abysmal lows.

They also say, what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger and when it comes down to brass tacks, the human spirit defeats everything else.

To be honest, the year has been incredibly bittersweet. But if there’s anything to learn and takeaway from the entire year, it’s that we’re left more experienced, more focused and more believing. We lost a lot, gained a lot but more importantly, we left learning more than ever.

From being single, to committing forever – a happily ever after always in the making and realised in 2018. From running out for work to now running our own homes. The journey has been bumpy but it has been a wild ride. Life never is perfect and who wants that either way? Our flaws and falls are what makes us grow and be better. Do better.

While we’ve had our fair share of breakdowns and then some, we’re left feeling thankful for the imperfections and adversities that come with life. No, we’re not griping but if there is anything we can say we’ve understood from this year, it’s that the acceptance of negative experiences is positive in itself as rightly pointed out by author Mark Manson.

So in the New Year, set goals and break and exceed them. But more importantly, love yourself. Respect yourself and enjoy the absurdities of life.

Always remember, no fear. Just faith.

Happy New Year!!
